Description

We cordially invite metadata experts from all consortia to the 2nd NFDI Metadata workshop.

In the workshop we want to continue and (ideally) finalise the discussion about generic metadata schemas like schema.org, DataCite and DCAT to be utilised across all NFDI communities.

We further want to extend the discussion on activities towards discipline specific metadata schemas. How can we extend generic schemas (i.e. as DCAT application profiles) and / or link generic and disciplines specific schemas.

There will be plenty of room and time for break-out sessions to discuss. We would love to see consortia team up to discuss shared “discipline-specific” schemas and mappings. You are further invited to bring your data and do some actual annotating with the metadata schemas in question.

We invite all consortia and their metadata experts to participate in NFDI-wide discussion and joint efforts to work on NFDI standards for metadata.

More detailed information on the workshop and agenda/program will follow soon.
